Most linen companies are built for hotels and restaurants. Ring them as a host with two properties and you will feel it — the minimum volumes do not fit, the pricing is per-piece and impossible to forecast, and you are quite obviously not the customer they had in mind.

A double , king or super king pack includes the sheet, duvet cover, four pillowcases, two hand towels, two bath sheets and a bath mat. One number per turnaround. Nothing to add up.

Now compare it to owning your own. The honest arithmetic goes like this: you need three sets per bed, because one is on, one is in the wash and one is spare. Buy decent linen and that is a real outlay before the first guest arrives. Then every changeover costs you the wash, the dry, the iron, and — the part nobody prices — the hour of your evening doing it. Do that fifty times a year and the labour alone eclipses what the hire would have cost. Then the linen greys, or a guest ruins a set, and you replace it. Then you scale to a third property and do it all again.

The hire model removes all of that. No capital tied up in stock, no washing, no ironing, no storage, no replacement cycle, and no linen cupboard. Clean linen arrives, used linen goes back, and the professional wash standard is one you cannot reproduce in a domestic machine — which matters, because guests notice, and reviews mention it.
